■ Receiving images with Nokia Kaleidoscope I
Nokia Kaleidoscope I can receive compatible images when it is switched on.
If no MMC card is inserted, the received images will be saved in the device’s
internal memory. Note that Nokia Kaleidoscope I may resize and crop the received
images to save and show them. Copyright protections may prevent some images
from being transferred.
If an MMC card is inserted, the received images will be saved as such in the
IMAGES folder on the card. If this folder does not exist, Nokia Kaleidoscope I will
create it automatically.
1. Point the infrared ports of Nokia Kaleidoscope I and the compatible sending
device at each other and make sure that there are no obstructions between the
devices.
2. Check that the list of image files is not shown.
3. Press
briefly to activate the infrared port of Nokia Kaleidoscope I and to
receive the image.
While the connection is being established, the green indicator light blinks.
4. The user of the other device can now start sending the image. For information
on how to send an image from the other device, refer to the user guide of that
device.
Once the connection is established, the green indicator light is constantly
shown.
The display is turned off while the image is received. After the image has been
received, the animated
indicator is shown on the display.
